Refresh My Cache

Safari 26 and later

Instructions for iOS · updated 1 Aug 2026

iOS has no hard-reload gesture, and Safari’s cache is cleared from the Settings app rather than from inside Safari.

Quickest check first

Open the page in a Private tab. Private tabs don’t reuse the normal cache, so if the page looks correct there, a stale cache is your problem — and you can carry on below.

Clear the cache only

This leaves your browsing history alone.

  1. Open the Settings app.

    Safari 26 · iOS · step 1

  2. Tap Apps, then tap Safari. On iOS 17 and earlier, Safari is listed directly in the main Settings list instead.

  3. Scroll down and tap Advanced, then Website Data.

    Safari 26 · iOS · step 2

  4. Tap Remove All Website Data, or swipe left on a single site to remove just that one.

Clear everything

  1. Go to Settings → Apps → Safari.

  2. Tap Clear History and Website Data.

  3. Choose All history, then tap Clear History.

This signs you out of websites and clears history on every device signed in to the same iCloud account.
